I love a good Portuguese egg tart. My godpa was Portuguese & godma was Chinese.. one of the things I remembered as a kid was my godparents’ homemade Portuguese egg tarts. They are a little different compared to Chinese egg tarts as they have a caramelised top, crispy pastry & the custard is a little thicker & gooey rather than silky.
I was so excited when I saw this cart at The Kitchens selling Portuguese egg tarts. My first few attempts in buying some were not successful as they were either sold out or closed.. I was so happy to finally get my hands on some of these yummy tarts!
