I attended & was a part of a high tea that made a difference. All funds raised from the high tea which included an auction was contributed towards Hope & Grace Ministries which supports some of the poorest of the poor in the Philippines. Besides having very little financially, they also live in circumstances that would be physically, mentally & emotionally depriving. We hope that our contribution, can make a difference in the lives of those it benefits & in turn, they too will make a difference in the lives of others in their community.
My husband who is a youth & kids worker will actually be going for this mission trip together with the lovely couple whose hearts were broken by the circumstances they saw & founded Hope & Grace Ministries. He has set up a gofundme page to raise money so that he can purchase some resources in particular to run some programs & activities for the kids & to help train the older youth/adults there to run similar programs for the younger generation in the community. His heart is to bring some inspiration, hope & joy into the despairing circumstances that the kids face. If you too would like to make a difference in the lives of these kids & communities, the link to his gofundme page is http://www.gofundme.com/matte_mtc
Here are a few photos of the beautiful day that allowed us an opportunity to make a difference.
